"So common over!": Royal Blood at St. Andrew's Hall, June 9th 2017
The lights dim, the crowd goes silent and a Coaster’s recording begins to play. Then to huge, screaming applause, Ben and Mike of Royal Blood take the stage both in porno coloured aviators and Ben in a gold chain and Detroit Tigers hat. Immediately, the duo jumps into "Where Are You Now?"

No time is wasted as Royal Blood powers through a twelve-song set list sans encore, on the short side as far as concerts go but they only have so much music as of yet. Discovered and launched to fame by Arctic Monkeys star, Alex Turner, the two only had about two songs at the time. Now, they’re preparing to release their second album and it promises to be just as powerful as the last.
Royal Blood is no stranger to making a crowd go wild. Ben, giving the crowd a death stare the entire time (while simultaneously rocking the porno shades formerly mentioned) can’t help but make you laugh. Mike is all too happy to throw his arms up, enticing the crowd into fits of excitement.
The audience was treated to a great set, mostly comprised of songs off their last album but with five new ones mixed in including their newest single Lights Out as well as Where Are You Now, Hook, Line & Sinker and I Only Lie When I Love You. While reviews from fans I’ve heard are mixed on these songs, I like them. They sound like Royal Blood and that’s all I could ask for.
Peace, love & history
